Switch my premium to student or cancel my subscription.

I have been paying for this service for a little over a year now and I think I should take advantage of this student option or maybe I should just go to the free subscription. I did not want to keep paying the same amount because I cannot afford to pay something like this when I have other pressing issues at hand. How do I go about switching or canceling my subscription? I have tried to follow the instructions when it came to cancelling my premium subscription and the menu button on the left hand side that is so frequently mentioned does not exist from my mobile device. Do I have to use the computer in order to see the information the way it is described? Please help
