Switching from Spotify to Spotify Premium for Students

My Question or Issue

I've had Spotify for a while now but just today I switched it to Spotify Premium since I am a student. My  concern is whether I have to do something on my end or will Spotify recognize that I switch my subscription. I do not want to have to pay $10 ((Spotify) and the additional $5.99+ tax (Spotify Premium). What can I do becuase I just plan on keeping Spotify Premium?

Can you please confirm if you signed up for Spotify Premium for Students? Or are you still a member of the Premium Plan? 

If you were a Premium user and then switched to the Student Plan, don't worry, your plan will just be upgraded and you'll pay only once for the discounted rate.
