My Question or Issue

i have an individual premium subscription that I signed up for via Deutsche Telekom (money collected via my phone bill).   Now I leave Deutsche Telekom but want to keep my spotify subscription.  So essentially transferring the subscription from Deutsche Telekom to a direct contractual/payment relationship with Spotify.   How do I do this?

Hey @keuneke,

Thanks for reaching out.

You'll have to wait until your current subscription has ended 🙂 Once it has ended, simply subscribe to Premium using your existing account at https://spotify.com/premium.

Hope this helps!

ah, so if I understand correctly:  my account will persist after the contract with Deutsche Telekom has ended, but will become a Spotify Free account, without loss of any data (my favourites, playlists, etc.).    Once that has happened, I can then upgrade the account to a premium subscription again by signing up for it directly with Spotify.
Makes sense, next month I will know if it works like that and will update this post with the verification.  Thanks already!

Hey @keuneke,

Yup, that's right 🙂 Many people assume that they'll lose their account when their subscription ends, but that's not true since the account reverts back to Spotify's free plan in such cases.
