Tried the 3 months for 9 PHP promo. Still just a month but subscription failed already!?

I'm a disappointed and frustrated as well. 

As someone new, I grabbed the opportunity with the promo 9 Php for 3 months and see if I liked the service. Everything is perfect for 2 weeks. Until just last week, Spotify started telling me how my account subscription would fail. Just today, I received an email that my Premium was paused? I don't understand. Why would Spotify keep bugging me every month for the subscription, and ultimately paused the service, just because I don't have the balance to pay for a monthly subscription. (Btw, I paid using my load.) I thought I already paid the 9 Php which would last for 3 months? I'm also eligibile for the promo since I'm a first timer.

Is this a scam?
