Trouble re-subscribing to Premium since changing country

Trouble re-subscribing to Premium since changing country

I was previously using Spotify Premium as part of a family account subscription in the UK. I wasn't the main member so wasn't the one handling the payment. I've now moved to South Africa and so have removed myself from the UK family plan as I want to change my payment to my SA bank account. 
 
I have updated my country within Spotify account settings to South Africa and am now trying to upgrade to Spotify Premium using my SA bank card but the payment keeps failing. There is no further information on what the problem is other than 'payment failed' but I suspect it is with Spotify rather than the card/bank account, as I use this bank card for online subscriptions to Netflix, Showmax etc and have also used it many times for online shopping. 
 
I HATE Spotify Free and desperately want to purchase Premium again but am at a loss for what to do next..?! Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hey @aaronsamc 

 

You should try with a different browser, or open a private window (incognito mode), and see if that does it.

 

Also, try in a different device (computer, tablet, etc.)
