Unable to add new card to pay for premium account

I'm having the exact same issue. SpotifyCares has repeatedly told me that "they have their team looking into it" and to try back in 72 hours. It's now been over a week that multiple payment methods do not work. I've tried different browsers, credit cards, you name it. Nothing works. And Spotify keeps saying to try back in 72 hours - presumably hoping that whatever issue they're having will work itself out. 

 

Super frustrating to the point that I'm considering moving to Apple Music or Tidal.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

 

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
