My Question or Issue
I am currently on a Premium Individual trial plan. I want to change my subscription to Premium Family however when I try it on the website, the result is “Du bist für dieses Abo leider nicht berechtigt. Hier sind weitere Möglichkeiten, dir Spotify Premium zu holen.” (“Unfortunately you are not eligible for this plan. Here are further options to get yourself Spotify Premium”).
Does this have to do with the free trial?

Hi @jonathanarcher, thanks for writing.
Sometimes, users who are on a Premium trial might not be eligible to directly switch to a Family plan until the trial period ends or converts to a paid subscription.
I suggest you to wait for the trial to end. If you’re on a trial, it may be necessary to wait until the trial period is over before you can switch plans. You could then manually upgrade to Premium Family after the trial expires.
It's also worth ensuring that you’ve entered a valid payment method in your account. Premium Family requires a valid payment method to be eligible for the plan. If you’re currently using a gift card or another non-payment method, this could cause the issue.
Let me know how if you have any other questions 😊

Hi @Bittencourt,
Thanks for your reply. My payment method is PayPal so I suppose that’s not the issue. I kind of already suspected that it’s linked to the trial somehow. That’s kind of a strange policy from an earnings POV though:-)
Maybe I’ll cancel my subscription and set it up newly then since my kids are quite insisting on their account…
Alright @jonathanarcher,
Let me know if you need help with that!
I have the same issue. I'm currently on a "Premium individual" plan (2 month free). When I try to upgrade from premium to duo it redirects to the main page and does nothing. This is a terrible experience for the user. Please help.
Hi, how did you solve this issue?
I had to cancel and resubscribe.
