Unable to join family plan

Unable to join family plan

My husband sent the invite link to both me and my son. What do we do after we click "accept invitation?" It wants a log in, so we use my husbands and I get the following message: "Cannot join Premium for Family - Sorry! You're already a member of this (or another) Family plan. Please click below to switch to the account the want to join to family plan." I click "switch accounts" and it takes me back to a log in screen. Am I supposed to create a new account? This is not easy! It should be as easy as click accept and done, but it is not. So FRUSTRATED!

Sorry for the trouble.

 

The way Spotify Family works is that each person creates their own Spotify account first if they do not already have one. For everyone to create a Spotify account they will need their own email address.

Once everyone has their own Spotify account you then invite them to join your family plan and then they sign in with that account in the app. Make sure everyone enters the same home address when it asks for verification. Then everyone will be able to listen to music without interrupting the other users. Everyone will have their own account.
