My Question or Issue

I have recently moved from the USA to Germany and I would like to change my account to match. From the docs, I understand to do this I need to update my payment method to one in Germany. When I try and do this, I am asked to switch to a Germany subscription. I currently have the Family Plan and would like to continue with that. However, when I select the Family Plan on the German page, it says I am not eligible to do so. I can select all the other plans, but not the Family Plan. This is maybe because I am not actually switching plans and just moving on the same Plan from USA to German payments? Any other way I can accomplish getting my account switched over to Germany? For what it's worth, I need to do this so I can link Spotify with my Amazon devices. Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out.

 

In this case, you'll need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you can change your country setting through the dropdown menu here.

 

Once that's done, you can subscribe to your desired plan using your payment method that's been issued in the country you're currently in at https://spotify.com/premium. Please keep in mind that you'll need to invite all members of the Premium Family plan again.

 

Instructions on how to cancel and how that affects your account can be found at https://support.spotify.com/article/cancel-premium/.
