Hello

I don't have any method for online payments, however I am able to obtain a gift card (retail).

Can gift cards be used for your first subscription? I don't have to use a credit card / paypal for the first one, right?

I just need to make sure before I purchase the gift card. Thank you.

Yeah of course, you will then be able to redeem it at https://spotify.com/redeem. Please note that you don't get a 30 days free trial if you use a gift card.
