Website will not let me support a podcast

Website will not let me support a podcast

Hello.

I'm on the free plan (I just made an account to try to see if that would help, it didn't), in Canada, and I've tried it on both my macbook air (sonoma 14.1.2, mid-2023 model) and my phone (android version 14, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, on its chrome browser).

For a while now, I've been trying to become a supporter of one of my favorite podcasts. I go to their spotify for podcaster's site, click on "support this podcast," enter my email, credit card, etc. information, then click on "support for $4.99 a month" button at the bottom. The three loading dots appear on the button for one second, then it just goes back to "support for etc." I just don't know what to do to make it go through.

Hey @Grunchy,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please give it a try in another browser and an incognito window

Let me know how it goes 🙂

First of all, accidentally clicked on "accept as solution" because I'm a nimrod. I don't know how to undo that. Sorry.

Second of all, I tried both incognito and a different browser (Safari). Didn't work either time, although I noticed for the first time that when I leave the pop-up window where I enter my information, the "support this podcast" button changes to read "congrats! you're a supporter!" or something similar. However, I have no evidence that any money has been taken from my card, no confirmation emails, nothing, and when I reload the screen, the button reads "support this podcast" again.

Hey @Grunchy,

Thanks for letting me know 🙂

In this case, it's best to reach out to the Podcast Support so that they can take a closer look at this.

You can reach them by clicking here and scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the webpage > Contact us.

I hope this helps.
