Why charged extra after switch from credit to debit card (Turkey)?

I have switched my monthly family account payment method from a credit to a debit card (different banks), in Turkey. Instead of the usual 49.99 tl, 50.91tl has been debited from my new card. I seem to have been charged the extra for a foreign currency transaction. This never happened when i paid by credit card. Is this normal?

Hey @eb9ewu_a-78x,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd recommend checking the receipts for your account so you can make sure how much you were charged by Spotify for when paying the plan. If you don't see any extra amount added to your payments there, it means that your bank might be charging you some additional fees. We think that it'd be best to get in touch with them and double-check where the added fees to your payment are coming from.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Thank you. Based on your advice, the problem seems to be with the bank not Spotify.
