Why is my premium account not being acknowledged as such on my macbook?

Hi! I have been a premium user for a few years now and recently found that the app and browser interface (on my macbook), were not acknowledging my account as premium. I really enjoy listening to audiobooks, music, and podcasts off all my devices, but I noticed this particular issue come about when I wasn't able to listen to an audiobook on my laptop. I tried troubleshooting this in a few ways (restarted my computer, logged out and logged back into the app and site,) and tried playing the audiobook off my phone and then switched the listening option to my computer where it stopped playing. I'm not sure why this is happening or how else to handle this issue but I would appreciate some help.

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.


After that, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your device, and be sure to use that username, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.
