Will I be able to access my friend's page and playlists even after her account is shut down?

Well, this is a pretty devasting question to ask, but my friend suddenly passed away this week and I just want to know what will happen to her Spotify account? Will I still be able to access her page and her playlists when her premium account is inevitably stopped, or will her whole account profile and everything be wiped out?

All the information I've read about unsubscribing from a premium account says that playlists stay intact for the account holder to still access and listen to on shuffle, but what about others being able to access a non-premium profile of someone else?

I'm just hoping to keep some of her with me through access to her profile and her carefully curated playlists.

I'm really sorry for your friend!

If the account of your friend will be completely shut down, unfortunately you won't be able to find it and, as a consequence, you won't be able to see her playlists. Instead if your friend's account will only pass from a Premium account to a normal one without it being shut down, you'll still be able to find it and listen to the playlists in it.

Just to add to what @SoundShots, It really depends on what will happen with the account from now on.

One of your family members or some next of kin will have to get in touch with support to cancel the Premium subscription.

It will be up to you if the account gets closed or if it'll remain on the platform.

Even if the account is reverted back to Free, other users will still be able to find it and follow the playlists associated with it.

But, in case the account is closed the profile and all the playlists on it will disappear eventually.
