Won't let me upgrade to premium?

I've been trying to upgrade to premium 

Everytime I click "agree & pay" it sends me back to the "select payment" page. I've tried this both on my computer and phone. (I'm paying with paypal, if that makes a difference)

Thanks for letting me know.

 

You'll have to use an alternate payment method if you'd like to claim the offer on your new account. Each payment method can only be used once to claim an intro offer.

Are you trying to claim an offer? Has your PayPal account been used for Spotify in the past?

It has been used on a previous account, yes.

Yes. 

The previous account has since been closed, I don't know if that helps.

Hi, I had the same problem. Does this mean that I can't ever use that first payment method?
