My Question or Issue

I got a 6 month xbox code for spotify. Ive tried to redeem it on a brand new account but it keeps telling me that i have used a trial before when I never haven’t

Hey @Memexz, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

I'll be happy to help. 

This offer only works if you've never tried Premium in the past, or never used your payment card on any of Spotify's services in the past (which could prevent you from redeeming the trial offer).


If you've checked to make sure, could you send me a screenshot of the error message that's being shown when you try to redeem your Xbox code? Make sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community.

I cant show a picture atm but i can get a 3 month free trial on the same account

Gotcha.

Did you use that payment card in the past to avail of Premium or another trial? Also, if possible could you try using a different payment card to see if that helps?

I have had a problem with redeeming my code. I created a brand new account for it. It still says I am not eligible. Any fix?

As @Billy-J mentioned previously, this offer is only for users who haven't had Premium before, even if it was on a different account. Just to confirm, is that your case?

 

If so, would you mind sending us a screenshot of the error message you're getting? Make sure not to send any private info.
