[Developer] When you instruct someone to click "Update" under "Your Plan" ....

I just redeemed a spotify gift card for 3 months. My account on both my phone and PC say I do not have premium. I have been trying to figure out the reason why for about 20 minutes, and have come up empty. Can someone help me, please.
