charged for student account

i wanted to sign up for the student account but they couldn’t find me as a student, so i just gave up & decided to do the regular $10/mo. but spotify still charged my card the $5 for the student account.

Help's arrived! Since Spotify's verification partner, SheerID, wasn't able to verify your student status, you shouldn't be charged for this!

Does the charge happen to show as pending or pre-auth on your banks' website or app? If so, the charge will most likely be returned within 48 business hours - the transaction may disappear, or be crossed out.
