gift card plus promo

Hello. I want to purchase a 6 month premium gift card for my dad. But I see that there is also the .99 cent deal for the first 3 months. He has never had premium or tried it. Can he still cash in for this deal plus also then put in his gift card so that he gets the promo for .99 cent for 3 months and then starts his 6 month gift after the first 3 months?

The offer can only be claimed using a recurring payment method (not Gift Cards).

If he doesn't have an account yet, you can create one for him and claim the 0.99 offer using a payment method that hasn't been used for Spotify before.

If he has an account already and never had Premium before, he'll be able to claim the offer as well at https://spotify.com/premium. After the 3 months, he should have no problem redeeming the Gift Card at https://spotify.com/redeem.
