My Question or Issue

I was checking my Chase bank statements and saw a charge from Spotify USA on november 16th for $16.47, which is odd because my automatic renewal for my individual plan is on the 23rd and should only be $12.34. I went online to the receipts page on spotify (as seen in the image) and the last amount spotify took from my account was $12.34 10/23/23. I am unsure if this was actually from spotify, should i contact my bank about the transaction?

Hey @grimoirre,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

I recommend checking the receipts page and comparing the recent charges to the ones you see on your payment method. If the charge on the Spotify receipt is only $12.34 but the actual charge is higher than that, then it's possible that there are some additional charges from the payment provider, since Spotify only takes the amount stated on the receipt(s). In that case, you might want to reach out to the issuer of your payment method so that they can investigate.

If there's no recent charge on your receipts page, it's possible that you have an additional account with Spotify. In that case, I recommend checking out this FAQ article for the next steps to take.

Let me know how it goes 🙂
