The reason why you're seeing your billing date earlier than a month's time could be because sometime in the past Spotify wasn't able to deduct your money on time.

Usually when this happens, your subscription isn't cancelled immediately. There's a waiting period in which Spotify continues to try and draw the monthly subscription fee. 

So, even though the money hasn't been received on time, you still continue to have your Premium. When Spotify successfully receives the money, your next billing date could be sooner than the date the money was actually withdrawn from your account.
