My account got charged for spotify student discount but I still have a "free" subscription I'm really upset.

In this case, can you check the state of the charge? If it shows as pending, it should go back to your card in the following days.

Also, keep in mind that the student discount verification is handled by SheerID and they can take several days to give you a response. If you already send the documents to verify your a student, we suggest that you wait for SheerID's answer. They will send you a message with a link in order to complete the process and activate the discount.
