student into family premium will he lose his songs?

Solved!

student into family premium will he lose his songs?

Hi.
middle aged mum here trying to keep the family happy and need advice.

I live in Uk.
i don’t currently have a plan but my son does who lives here. He has the single plan. However he is a student, but in between college and uni this September. He doesn’t want to lose all the songs he has set up on his account,  if I were to get a family premium can he simply cancel his and swap to ours and not lose his songs? He should have put himself on the student plan 2 years ago but didn’t.

any advice gratefully appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Hey @HeidiR,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Your son won't lose the music on his account if he switches from a Premium individual to a Family plan. Just make sure he cancels any Premium individual subscription to his name before inviting him to join your Family plan (if you activate it and become the plan's manager) to avoid paying any extra (not-needed) subscriptions.

Hope you'll find this useful. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with!
