This August ten of our top Rock Star Program members visited the Stockholm office for the third annual Rock Star Jam.
These Rock Stars were rewarded with the trip for their contributions helping others in both the Spotify Community and on Twitter's @AskRockStars. Together these Rock Stars have posted and tweeted over 38,700 times to help Spotify answers their questions, report issues, send feedback and discover new music.
This year's attendees came from six different countries (USA, Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands) with six returning from last year's Rock Star Jam.
I really loved [Rock Star Jam]!," said Katerina Niavi from Greece. "It's a great way to get an insight into the company, how the app works and most of the faces behind the community."
Nico Kowalk from Germany agreed saying, "It was just an amazing experience. One of my favourite parts was the Q&A sessions with the different developers and teams."
Yasa Akbulut speaks to the Rock StarsDuring their stay the Rock Stars had a Q&A session with Spotify co-founder Martin Lorentzon, toured Spotify HQ, explored Stockholm and got a sneak peak into the future of Spotify.
They also met with the teams working with Playlist Curation, Marketing, Customer Support, Social, On-boarding, Payments, iOS, Android, Desktop, and Marketing.
Other Rock Star Jam attendees included Matt Suda, @MattSuda (USA), Jordi Kroon @Jordi (The Netherlands), Hristo Hristov, @Dreadlord (Bulgaria); Blake Durham, @blake (USA); Merik Castro, @Merik (USA), Kyle Brooks, @kbrooksc (USA); Alejandro Oviedo,@OviiiOne(Spain); and Marco Hülf @Marco (Germany).
Merik said he had a great time meeting others that invest a lot of time into Spotify and the Rock Star Program. "Spotify's headquarters and Stockholm are nothing short of harmony and acceptance. There was no pressure to be something else other than yourself.
If Spotify brings out a spark in you and you find yourself helping on the Community, or Twitter, the Rock Star Jam is definitely something to strive towards."

Spotify's Rock Star Program was founded in November 2013. The program works to reward Spotify users that help one another via the Community and Twitter. By posting and tweeting Stars earn points which can be redeemed for Rock Star Rewards.
