My Question or Issue

Hi,

Right off the bat I'd like to say that I know there's a similar, related topic to what I'm about to ask (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Your-Library/What-s-the-difference-between-saving-a-song-to-your-li...), but it doesn't provide me with an answer to the specific question I'm having.

Basically, I want to know if there's an algorithmic difference (the way the song influences my taste profile) if it's on a playlist, but is not hearted (liked).

According to a Spotify article (an official one, mind you - link here: https://newsroom.spotify.com/2019-05-02/five-ways-to-make-your-discover-weekly-playlists-even-more-p...), point 3 specifically, it says that:

"If you’re totally obsessed with a new-to-you track, add it to your own personally curated playlists. This lets us know the song is more than just a momentary obsession, and we’ll be sure to serve up songs in the same vein."

So, if playlisting a song is VERY indicative of one's music taste, and if you were an algorithm, you'd assume that all songs in a playlist SHOULD be hearted, right?

So, what in the case if a song is not hearted, but is present in a playlist (that you as an algorithm were taught to equate to a list of "bangers").

Thank you for help,

Paul
