I was really enjoying my Discover Weekly playlist this week- so much so that I sent it to multiple people to listen to this morning. When I went to listen again today (Friday) the music had all changed. I’m really disappointed as I know there were songs that I wanted to save, but had not yet.

Hi @Colleebean8,

Thanks for the post.

Currently there is no way to save an old Discover weekly mix. They update automatically, as soon as the system gathers enough data. This can happen once or twice a week depending on your listening habits.

What we'd recommend is creating a separate playlist containing the songs. The easiest way to do this is with the Desktop app. Open the DW playlist, use Ctrl+A (Windows)/ Cmnd+A (Mac) to select all songs > Add to a new playlist.

Hope this helps 🙂

If the discover weekly is updated twice a week, does the date added to the track information change? Because I noticed that the DW can be updated in the middle of the week, but each song in playlist still has the information that it was added to the playlist, for example, 4 days ago (on Monday).

Hey @Slava_Sharipov,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

We understand where you're coming from, but we believe the 'Date added' field do not reflect these subtle changes in real time. The Discover Weekly playlist will always say that it was updated on Monday because that's when the actual weekly algorithmic playlist update takes place (starts). However, it is possible that it will fine-tune itself over the following days if need be, depending on how dynamic your listening habits are, as @Alex already mentioned.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

This feature should be an option rather than a default.
Was listening to discover weekly and enjoying it for it to change 2 days later with most of the playlist switched out changed the entire vibe of the playlist.
It is changing once a week already, why change it more than that.
Really bad feature.

-A really disgruntled user due to this.
