English song, but title is in foreign language

English song, but title is in foreign language

Hi, I am having problems with songs recommended in my Discover weekly. They are English songs, with English lyrics, and if I google the lyrics, I can find the songs with English names on Spotify. My language is set to English, my country in my account is set to USA. How do I fix this?Clipboard01.jpg

Hey @sephy_starfire,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community! This looks a bit odd and we'll do our best to help you here.

First off, we'd recommend to log out > restart your computer > log back in to see if that makes any difference.

If you still experience this, it might be caused by an issue with your device's cache. Go ahead and take a look at this page to see how to clear old cached files.

On another note, can you check if these songs appear the same way in Spotify app on mobile device?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply!

No, it didn't fix it. It also shows up that way on mobile and on the web browser. The problem is, the song titled "ソングス・ザ・ナイト・シングス" by the Dark Element at https://open.spotify.com/track/0Wzm7VZ1tMNFzfjWhsym3y?si=b5f7586bafcf43c6&nd=1 is the same as https://open.spotify.com/track/7iZoDXIunEJkR7nWLxRoQu?si=42ac2d57d8b44560 however, the former link has the song title in a foreign language. I've been recommended songs by this artist before, and every time it's been recommended in what I assume are kanji.

Hey @sephy_starfire,

Thanks for your response and apologies for the confusion.

What you're seeing are releases made specifically for the Japan market, so it's normal for them to appear in this language. We understand that seeing them in your personalized playlists might be confusing, so rest assured, your feedback has been forwarded to the relevant team.

Let us know if there's anything else.
