Everytime I can't pay for premium for a couple of weeks spotify deletes 1000s of my liked songs

I have had a few inconsistencies in my jobs which makes it difficult to pay for spotify for a few weeks at a time. Everytime I can pay for premium and I return Spotify has deleted 1000s of my liked songs. I went from one point over 18,000 liked songs to now 9000. These are songs I have collected over the 8 years of having spotify and am not likely to find them again. Considering I'm surely going to have another time I can't pay for premium, am I just going to be forced to lose my collection everytime?
