Hello,
I think it can be use full for authors or singers artists, to force the listener to hear the album in the order.
For example, i found the album "L'Etrange Histoire de Mr.Anderson" of Laylow very cinematographic with a strong story telling.
It can be interesting to systematically listen the album from beginning to the end.
May be it can be random, some people could be chosen randomly to hear the album in the order that they want, others forced to listening in the order.
Or maybe uniquely for prenium Spotify subscriber.
Sincerely,
Folco Durand
Hi @FolcoDurand,
Thanks for your Idea submission.
Currently Albums on Spotify play in order by default. Albums will play in the order that the creator has arranged them when you press the Green Play Button.
You can still shuffle the album when you activate Shuffle mode from the Now playing view.
Hope this info helps 🙂

I have imagine this feature to listen to the music like in a cinema.
You cant shuffle, cant choose the order.
The album of Laylow is very cinematrographic and i think it can be very interesting to force the listener to listen the album from beggining to the end in the way to have a better experience.
I am clear ?
Hey @FolcoDurand,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes we believe we've understood your idea clearly. However we think that the app has those features already in place, and so it could possibly suit the listening needs of different users and thus enabling rather than enforcing them. An album can still be played in it's original order when you press the green Play button on the album view in your desktop app, or on the first track in the album's track listing in your mobile version of the app.
If you believe the feature you are requesting here is different, then perhaps you can share your thoughts and valuable feedback by suggesting a new idea about this change in our Idea Exchange board. Beforehand, you can familiarize yourself with the guidelines for Idea submissions, so your suggestion gets approved.
Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
Hi! How you can download kids audio books in one book in the right order? What is for normal music "bad", for a kids story to listen it is torture. Rgds
Hey @jcm4,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
Usually, the albums, podcasts and playlists will download in order starting from the one on the top. But to play it in order, you just need to check if the shuffle button (on the now playing view) is active. If so, turn it off.
However, if this is not the info you're requesting, include in your next response more details about your question and what you want to do.
Also, send us the make, model and OS version of the device you're using to take a better look at the issue and give you proper instructions.
We'll be on the lookout.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
