My Question or Issue

I'm using the release radar quite frequently. I do use the "hide" button a lot, as I don't want to listen to songs I don't like.

Unfortunately, songs I previously hid still appear in the release radar and are played.

During playback of those hidden songs, the stop icon is red so Spotify "knows" that I hid the song. Still I have to skip them manually.

It happens with newly hidden songs and also with songs I hid a week ago.

So basically: The hide feature does not work for me in the release radar.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hey @guerda,

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here.

We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread.

The way the Hide this song feature works is that it blocks a certain track from the specific playlist on the current device. The way your Release Radar set up is that it gets renewed every Friday and counts as a new playlist. Because of this songs you have hidden in the last iteration might still appear in the new one.

If you'd like the feature introduced to block a song from appearing account-wide, we'd recommend you take a look in our Idea Exchange and see if someone has already submitted an idea for this feature to be added and if not post your own.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted if you have any questions.
