How to remove Obama from my Home section

Using Spotify on my phone, on the 'Home' section. I have 'recently played' 'top podcasts' and other music and podcasts that relate to my interests and listening habits.

Spotify recently added a section called 'Higher Ground' and EVERY listing is Obama related. The Obama podcast, Obama's favourite songs, Obama's workout playlist, Obama's Valentine playlist.

This has nothing to do with anything I listen to, nor do I intend to listen to any of this. I'm quite annoyed Spotify has put agenda politics in my home page and there seems to be no simple way to say "no thank you" and remove it from my home screen.

Does anybody know how to remove this section? I tried searching for answers to no avail.

I don’t know how to remove it and I chatted with a rep and they said they could comment on this. I am really surprised they would do this and I am likely going to share this outside of this community and change platforms. I am sick of my entertainment being a platform for politics. The best part is Spotify has made it clear they are not allowing political ads yet here they are pushing one. It is very clear what the political orientation is and regardless of what yours is this is not okay. This is not a recommended podcast based off what I listen to. If you wanted to do this right do it after the elections.

Agree. This is annoying. I just got on family premium for the music. I don’t appreciate the “in your face” influence peddling. I’m strongly reconsidering.

Well the Obama podcast is back in my feed. Why can’t we decided what is in our home section?  I want the option to decide what pops in my feed. This is political Spotify and you know it. I have been a faithful user for many years, I have found many unheard of artists through your

platform and have made many running playlists to get me through half-marathon / marathon training and races and I will cancel my membership if this isn’t resolved soon. Either take Obama’s podcast off the main page or give your users the option to do so.

Looks like Spotify saw how unpopular those two were and cancelled them. Better late than never.
