I can't play the Lumineers any more

My Question or Issue

I can't play the Lumineers any more, the songs are greyed out. Even when they are not greyed out e.g in a compilation album, I can play all the songs except there's.

When I try to play them on the Mac it says I have to Allow them in the phone app first.

Ive tried liking and unliking them, following and unfollowing, but nothing works.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

By the message you're getting, it sounds like you've probably blocked this artist on your mobile device by mistake. 

 

To undo it:

  • Open the Spotify app on your phone. 
  • Go to The Lumineers artist page. 
  • Tap the three dots icon_options_iphone.png
  • Tap the Don't play this artist icon_no.png option to unblock the artist. 

 

If that doesn't help, you can try this:

  • Open the Spotify app on your phone. 
  • Go to Your Library icon_library.png
  • Scroll all the way down. 
  • Tap icon_no.png Hidden
  • Look for the artist and unblock them. 

 

If some of the songs are still greyed out, this means that they're no longer available.
This can happen if licensing agreements with the artist/labels, or ownership of rights, has changed. Availability can vary between countries as well.
