I don't want Spotify to download any more song - how?

Hello, I remember I once turned off the option to download songs for my offline usage. Because of limited storage on my phone I don't want to choose this option anymore. But now I see every now and then Spotify is downloading music again. I don't find any other steps to do when scrolling through the settings. Do you have an idea?
Have a nice day, looking forward to your answer 🙂

Hi,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

Currently there is a way to clear all downloaded content on a device at once, when you navigate to Settings>Storage>Remove all downloads. However, this doesn't forbid the app to download selected playlists again in the future.

To prevent playlists to get downloaded in the future, you'd need to go over your library and check if there are any playlists that you've marked for offline availability. You will need to untap the green arrow symbol that is present next to that playlist's name (if you see any). For more info on how downloads work you can read on here, and for some tips about storage and data optimization see the page here.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted if you have any questions.
