Is it possible to categorize the artists in your library?

My Question or Issue

I have a relatively diverse list of artists that I listen to.  Everything from Hard rock to blues to modern country to jazz.   I'd like to categorize the artists in my library be genre of music.  That way if I'm in the mood for some jazz...I can look through my jazz artists and see what sounds good.  Spotify replaces our cd library and didnt we all used to categorize our cd's?   Is this possible.  Thanks.

Currently, Spotify does not have a feature that allows you to currently organize songs by genre. You could create a thread in the idea's tab and with enough votes, spotify might look into implementing this idea.

Thank you for the info. I'll do just that. This seems like a basic thing that they should offer. Do you know by chance if other services offer this?

Hi!

Since Spotify doesn’t let you categorize that way I make my own playlists with my genres and just switch to that playlist 🙂
