Liked songs now grouping by release

My Question or Issue

Up until the weekend, when I went into liked songs for an artist it showed all of the sings I had liked and for the most part downloaded so I could start playing one song and it would shuffle all of them.

I did an update sunday I think it was and now suddenly I go into an artist and it lists the albums I have liked so I cannot then shuffle all tracks only tracks on that album.

For example Mammoth WVH has one album and one single from a forthcoming album. If I go into liked songs it shows both but if I start playing the single then it just repeat plays the single and conversely if I go into the album it ignores the single.

I found a few other topics on here which were similar but none gave an answer which helped.....

If you continue experiencing this behavior, make sure both the app and your device are up-to-date. If after that, this continues to happen, please send us:

• Make/model and OS of the affected device.
• Exact Spotify version you're running.

My app was updated this morning (to version 8.9.34.590) and my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is also up to date. I am seeing no change. There is no play button and liked songs are still grouping by release.

My IPhone 14 Pro is up to date (iOS 17.4.1) and so is my Spotify app (8.9.34.567) but nothing has changed! Saved albums are still not playable in „liked songs from artist“.

I really thought this time there will be a fix, but no. 
please, please, please fix this feature 😭

We have an update to share here but, unfortunately, it's not what you all have been waiting to see -

The issue is still on our radar but its solution seems to be more complicated than initially expected.
Because of this we can't know the exact date for when it will get addressed.

We'll let you know as soon as we know anything new on the subject but in the meantime - keep your apps up to date.

Sorry, but that’s BS. If this is a „feature“ here to stay, just say so! Say „now on mobile apps you have to like every song of an album individually to make it appear on the liked song list“ but don’t go on like „we fixed it! Oh wait, we didn’t“.
It’s just an app to stream music, no rocket science. In the meantime other flashy features got introduced! So there seem to be people working on it. Just step up the criticality of the Jira issue and fix the damn bug, if it is one!

This is really confusing. It's rolling back an update to restore a feature. They shouldn't need to build anything new into the software. 

It feels like we're all being strung along here as this topic has been discussed various places with the same "it's coming keep the app updated" response. If it's a feature that was killed off and not coming back - please just tell us.

A number of further updates and still not reverted to how it was.

How blooming difficult is it and why have you not changed it back. No one likes it, it does not help anyone using the phone for the app, the desktop version is still as it was.

HONESTLY!!! I've seen a few "spotify moderators" say, "cool, we hear you. It's coming." But yet it's never actually received. Nobody wants to be on a music platform where you have to create a playlist of every atrist's work you like in order to get a good shuffle. That seems a little backwards no? You could do better with a large memory cd lol like wth. Spotify people.... can you really hear us on this for once? We want the old ability to like and be able shuffle all the albums or songs we've liked of a particular artist. Not create a dumbass/endless list of playlists in order to enjoy our tunes. DO BETTER.

Several updates later and still has not been changed back. On the laptop it does it correctly so what is the flaming problem?

My Question or Issue

There consistently seems to be a mismatch between the "Liked Songs" for an artist between mobile and desktop Spotify. For instance, I have 88 songs liked by The Beatles when go to their profile on my Mac and PC. However, when I go to their profile on mobile, it only says 55. This seems to be the case for many artists where the number of liked songs is in the double digits or more.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

To investigate this further, would you mind confirming if you've already performed a clean reinstall of the app on your devices? We recommend this taking into account that a similar issue was resolved some time ago by this process. 

Also, would you mind checking if the Web Player shows the same number of the desktop app? 

Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running on your devices to continue investigating the case.

I'm running the latest updated version. I've already un-installed and
reinstalled. This isn't something that is a bug or anything. Spotify as a
whole removed that funcrion/ability from the app.

So many people are complaining and can't understand why you would remove
the function all together. We don't want to have to make playlists of every
artist we want to hear a shuffle from. I shouldn't have to create a
playlist, add all of that artists work to it, just to get a shuffle. Bring
back the fact that I can like songs/albums, see everything I've liked and
just shuffle that.

my liked songs and liked releases of an artist are no longer playing together on Spotify. Usually when I go to an artist profile then liked songs and liked releases, then press play, Spotify plays both the liked songs and liked releases of the artist, but recently Spotify only plays to the liked releases, is this part of the new update or my Spotify is just tweaking?
