Managing artists with new albums

Managing artists with new albums

How can I have artist saved somewhere while also having all tracks downloaded for offline use (which will auto-include all new future releases)?

For now there is two ways I found so far which is not solving what I'm looking for:

1. "Your library/artists" which has followed artists (but I cant download it or sort alphabetically that is weird)

2. Shift-select all songs in the artist discography and save them to some playlist which I can have downloaded for offline listening (but this lack of the new released content of this artist since it's limited snapshot)

What if I have like 200 artists discographies, each in it's own playlist... and their new albums is out of it and I have to manage it all by hands checking each artist for new albums/tracks, adding them to playlist.. Not too handy.

Any solution?

Hi there @ariloum,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

There is currently no way to download all of an artist's discography. You can download only playlists/ albums and podcast episodes.

Furthermore, you can't have new releases automatically added to your playlists.

Spotify constantly strives to improve the user experience with its features and the easiest way to achieve this is by regular app updates. That’s why we appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestion with the Community.

If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
