Hi! I have a problem! I have like 3000 liked songs but it means they are not in a playlist and I'm extremely scared to lose them if I lose my account or anything. Do you know how can we put all the liked songs in one playlist ? Because it would take too much time to do it manually 😕
Hi @FrogFace333,
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!
The easiest way to copy your Liked Songs to a new playlist would be by using the desktop app, since you can select multiple songs and move them at once to a new playlist this way.
To do so, first you can select the option Create Playlist on the left side menu of the desktop app.
Next, I recommend making sure that you don't have any unavailable (grayed-out) tracks in your Liked Songs, so as to avoid any issues with copying your Liked Songs to the new playlist.
Then, select all of the tracks in your Liked Songs by clicking any song there and then pressing Ctrl + A (Command + A on Mac). When the tracks are all selected, simply drag and drop them to the new playlist that you created.
In case you only have the mobile app, there's currently no way to select multiple songs at once; however, there's a Live Idea for this potential feature.
If it's something you’re interested in, I would recommend adding your +VOTE to the idea. The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it; and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
You can also Subscribe to the idea by clicking the three dots next to its title; that way you'll be sure to be informed of any relevant updates.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
Hii tysm but I tried and nothing happens. I mean, when you say "select any song" im not sure i understood
Hi @FrogFace333,
Thank you for your reply!
In my earlier reply, I meant that to select all of your Liked Songs, you can first single-click any track there; and then if you’re on a Windows computer, press the “Ctrl” and “A” keys simultaneously (if you’re on a Mac computer, instead press the “Command” and “A” keys simultaneously).
Alternatively, you can use the dropdown menu at the top-left of the screen, choosing Edit -> Select All.
Either of these methods should select all of your Liked Songs (rather than just the song there that you initially single-clicked on), such that they should all appear highlighted.
You can then drag and drop the highlighted Liked Songs into the new playlist you created, where it appears in the left panel of the desktop app.
Let me know if this still isn’t working, as well as if you have any other questions.
Have a good day!
I have a chromebook 😞
Hi @FrogFace333,
Thank you for sharing this additional information.
Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to select multiple songs at once on a Chromebook, since Chromebooks can only run the Android mobile app or the web player.
However, there's a Closed Idea in the Idea Exchange for being able to select multiple songs at once using the web player. While the status of the idea is currently “Case Closed,” it doesn't mean that Spotify has rejected it, and it could still be implemented after further review.
If it’s something that you’re interested in, I would recommend adding your +VOTE to the idea. The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
