No longer able to like songs

Solved!

No longer able to like songs

I’ve been a Spotify premium subscriber for three years and never had a single issue. Recently (in the last week) I’ve been unable to like songs. I’ve attached what my issue looks like on my end. I’d really like to have this issue solved without a fresh reinstall, given I have over 80GB of music downloaded and capped internet.

Hey @LoganH1,

Thanks for the reply.

Make sure to follow this Spotify Guide. Note that this will clear all downloaded content.

Before this you can try to log out and back in the app twice in a row. This will force sync your data with the servers.

Keep us posted on how you get on with this.

Hey @LoganH1,

Thanks for the post.

Can you check if this issue is persistent on both WiFi and mobile data?

The issue is persistent on both wifi and cellular. The funky thing is, I can like songs just fine on my computer. Then, when I pull up Spotify on my phone it has not updated. The last song I liked on my phone was exactly 8 days ago according to my PC.

Luckily my household data resets in 5 or 6 days, so I’ll try to reinstall then.

Thanks for the responses Alex. I’ll be marking your latest reply as the solution.

Disclaimer for anyone experiencing the same issue: a reinstall fixed this problem for me. I ended up biting the bullet once I discovered songs were no longer downloading.

I don’t know if the log in x2 solution is the answer but I do know that my data plan wishes I tried that first.
