Order of playlist rearranged

Solved!

Order of playlist rearranged

Spotify recently changed the ORDER of playlists.  Instead of having them IN ORDER of how you created them, they now appear in the ORDER of 'recently listened to'.  I am extremely frustrated that we do not have the option to keep our playlists in ORDER.  I have navigated Spotify IN THE ORDER I PLACED MY LISTS since 2012 & I now cannot find my lists.

Hey @musicmybf,

Thanks for keeping in touch - We're happy to shed some light on the situation!

On your phone you have several options to order the list of your playlists. Just tap Recently played at the top after filtering Playlists to choose one of the following sorting options:

  • Recently played
  • Recently added
  • Alphabetical
  • Creator
  • Custom order

You can also pin up to 4 playlists to the top of Your Library by swiping right or long pressing and choosing Pin playlist from the menu.

More info on the recent changes to Your Library as well as some useful tips and tricks can be found here.

Hope this helps. Give us a shout if you have any other questions 🙂

Hi there @musicmybf,

Thank you for your reply in this thread.

If you're using the PC you should be able to see your playlists in order on the left side of the app under Liked Songs. However if you click on Your Library, the last playlist you played a song from will show up at the top.

If you're using your phone, the last playlist you played will show up at the top of your library. However, you should be able to search for a playlist in the app on the phone.

If you can't, can you let us know which version of the app you have, and what phone you're using?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I listen only on my cell. My playlists are named mostly with emojis - this
used to make it easy to navigate to based off the 'mood'..however it now is
impossible to search for a specific playlist. I do listen to music for
several hours a day and my playlists become buried. Its a BIG deal in my
world.
