Original Spotify Playlists Disappeared, and New Ones Not Saving

Original Spotify Playlists Disappeared, and New Ones Not Saving

A few months ago, all the playlists I had in My Library suddenly disappeared and could not be recovered (nothing appeared in the “Recover Playlists” in the online menu). Since then, I have been unable to create any playlists without them immediately deleting once I exit the app. I have tried removing the app, redownloading it to my iPhone, and resigning into my Spotify account, but nothing seems to resolve this problem. I am a member of a Family Plan (not the manager), but this issue only affects me. If anyone has any advice on how to resolve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community! That is not the experience we want you to have, but here are a few steps you can try to solve this issue:

  • Performing a clean install of the Spotify App using this guide
  • Change your account password from here
  • Turn off VPN or DNS service if you are using one
  • Let us know if this issue occurs on a desktop or laptop as well
  • Share your App version

If the clean install does not work, I suggest you head over to our chat support and ask them to clear your account cache backstage. Note that this will remove all your offline downloads and log you out everywhere. Once that is done, let me know if the issue is resolved now or not.
