My Question or Issue

One of playlists disappeared from my list without me deleting it but anyone following can still access it. If they share a link with me i can also access the playlist and when i do get in I get all the usual options but it acts as though I'm offline. I tried to delete from there to recover but it doesn't respond or download it but it does the same thing. It's a core playlist  of mine with 2 days worth of music so any help with recovery is appreciated.

Thanks

Hey @tj11290,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

When you right-click on a song and choose to add it to a playlist, does the one in question appear? This seems like a situation where you might be logged in to an account different than the playlist owner. We recommend that you go through the steps here, just to be sure.

If that doesn't fix thing, it's a good idea to log out everywhere and run a clean reinstall on all your devices, this involves deleting the cache files of the app and will force an account wide resynchronization of your info. You can have a look at this guide for the steps relevant to each device.

If the issue persists, we'd appreciate a link to the playlist in question, as well as a couple of screenshots of how it appears at your end.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

EDIT: Fixed!

Hi, I’m having the same issue and have followed all the steps above.

I can’t share a link because I can’t even access it in order to share that link.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey @emmajemma33,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

The issue you're currently having could be related to some damaged cache stored from previous updates. We'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, would you mind checking it on the Web Player or a different device to see if it makes any difference?

Lastly, to keep investigating, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi,

I edited my previous comment because it would not let me delete it -- but
issue is taken care of.

Thank you!

Hi there, I am having a similar issue where my playlist has disappeared today and I did not delete it. The public cannot see my playlist either. I already did a reinstall of the app.

Hey @nthin,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

Just to be on the same page, if you right-click on a track and highlight the option "Add to playlist", can you see your playlist name as mentioned previously by @Mihail? It's also worth checking if the playlist was deleted by mistake and try to recover it by following the steps mentioned in this article.

On the other hand, if other users cannot see your playlists, make sure they're added to your profile and the privacy set to public. You can find all the info here.

Lastly,  include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

Hope this helps. We'll be on the lookout.

mine has mysteriously returned. I think its been on Holiday:)

i tried this method twice and neither times did it work

Hey @NotSoNate,

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

In this case, would you mind sharing with us exactly what method/suggestion you tried? That way we can avoid repeating any steps. If you haven't yet, it's worth checking if you have more than one account, as mentioned previously in this thread. It's possible the account in which the playlist was created is different.

You can go to password reset and enter possible email addresses you own. When you enter an email that's registered with Spotify, you'll get a password reset message for that email. Keep in mind there are a few ways to sign up, e.g. with email, phone number, Facebook, Apple, or Google. Try logging in with these to see if you have more than one account.

On another note, we suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.

If none of the above does the trick, it'd be really helpful if you shared with us the link to the playlist along with some screenshots of the behavior you've noticed.

Keep us in the loop!

Well, I cannot reactivate my playlists, like this one with 16292 followers:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/29kUlaucCovbnTUboOMhBm?si=8dea50b1efee4eb8

When I try to edit a title or an description, this is not saved.

When I do the right click thing (as mention above), I don't see the name of this playlist.

What can I do? Even let a friend curate a playlist does not work, because she cannot edit title, pic or description.
This is really annoying me at Spotify...

already tried doing clean reinstall but my playlist still won't show up
