Playlists aren't being sorted

My Question or Issue

On the desktop app, I made it so my playlists are sorted by albums or artists. It's only sorted by albums/artists on the desktop app, but it shows it as the default custom order on the web player. How can I fix this?

Selecting a sort option (e.g. by album or artist) for a playlist on one device won’t apply universally across all platforms from which you access the playlist; and unfortunately, it isn't possible at the moment to sort the songs in a playlist from the web player.

However, there is currently a Closed Idea in the Idea Exchange for having sort options for songs in playlists while using the web player. While the status of this idea is currently “Closed - Not Enough Votes,” it can become an active idea again if it gains sufficient votes.

If it’s something you’re interested in, I recommend adding your +VOTE to the idea, as the more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it; and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
