Playlists pause when phone goes dark

My Question or Issue

So as title says. However, I have zeroed it in. It only pauses if the playlist is downloaded and the screen goes to black. Comes back on immediately if I bring the phone back to light. Extremely annoying for travel on flights. Thanks!

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!

We'd first recommend making sure that Spotify is set as an exception for any cache clearing or battery optimization (for example: App power monitor or Sleeping apps) apps. If you're unsure how to check this on your device, we'd suggest taking a look online for instructions from your device's manufacturer.

If that doesn't do the trick, it would be a good idea performing a thorough reinstallation of the app following the steps in this Spotify Answer.
