Prevent mixed/radio show tracks from appearing in Release Radar Playlist

Users who listen to DJ radio shows on Spotify are at extreme risk for having their Release Radar Playlists be compromised by 'mixed' tracks.

Spotify should have an option or feature that allows users to 'opt out' of having these mixed tracks included for the weekly playlist.

In addition... some of these radio shows have 'tracks' that are just talking such as announcements or fan interactions. Having these included in weekly playlists is extremely frustrating for users wanting to hear new music in curated playlists.

Hey there @Jamesanator

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better.

No worries, if you don't want your DJ radio shows to affect your Made for you playlists' content, we suggest that before listening to them, make sure to activate the Private session by following the steps here.

Hope this helps. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

Your 'solution' is not satisfactory for the problem being presented. It is unreasonable to expect a user to toggle 'private sessions' back and forth for different tracks within the same album.

This is not an isolated or individual issue either. I promise that almost any user that listens to EDM genre music has experienced this drawback from Spotify's algorithms.

Simply implementing a filter or tag for radioshow albums would prevent this from happening.

What a joke of a solution. This does not solve the problem if you are already getting mixed versions in your Release Radar, for those people it is too late and their RR is already polluted. Also, as Jamesanator mentioned, it is unreasonable to keep switching from private session to normal listening. Please do better.

The fact that this thread is moved from ideas to the forum is also laughable. Please give people a chance to vote on this idea.

I will absolutely be reposting this.

Have you noticed that now random artists and profiles are uploading full mixes of other more popular artists? These mixed tracks also pollute the RR and you can't do anything about it because blocking them doesn't prevent such tracks from hitting the RR. Songs that are literally decades old smh
