Same unknown songs appearing in multiple playlists, with no options to remove

I seem to have unknown songs appearing in multiple play lists, the option to remove from playlist is greyed out, and there seems no other way to remove.

I have checked Apps and nothing unknown there.

Logged out of everywhere and changed password.

See below screenshot, any songs in this playlist not by The Cure, these same songs also appear in other playlists. Also note the greyed out options of removal.

Hi @o_Nick_o,

Welcome to the Community!

If the option to remove a song from a playlist is greyed out, it usually means that the playlist belongs to someone else. If the playlist isn't Collaborative, it's not possible to add or remove songs from it, as only the owner can do it. You can see who's the owner of the playlist just below the playlist's title.

Let us know if that is not the case and we'll investigate further.

Elena,

Thanks for the reply, just to check you understand, this wasn't a stand
alone playlist, it was songs appearing in my own created playlist.

I am not sure how or why a playlist is collaborative or not that it cannot
be removed from my own playlist, it seems very strange.

In the end I just deleted the playlists as I could see no other way to
remove unknown songs from my own created playlists, so that from a customer
point of view I found tiresome.

Anyways, the advice came a little too late, so they have gone now.

Hey @o_Nick_o,

Thanks for getting back to us and for the extra info! Hmm, that sounds odd indeed.

It's possible that you created those playlists on a different account and then followed them from the account you're currently using - that's why you couldn't remove songs from them.

Take a look at this article to search for other accounts you might have.

In case you do have another account, you can transfer your content from one account to the other by following the steps in this Spotify Answer 🙂

We hope this helps, but feel free to give us a shout if you need anything else.
