My Question or Issue

When i try to like a song it just doesnt work. After i click the like song it shows the checkmark as in the song is liked and should be in my liked songs playlist, but when i go to the liked songs playlist it isnt there. Also when i comeback to the page with the song it isnt showing the checkmark anymore. I tried on my phone aswell but it still doesnt work.

Thanks for the info @sjembk. I checked the screen recording as well.

 

I would suggest a clean-install of all the Spotify apps that you have installed. You can find the complete guide in this article.

 

Furthermore, if you have used the Microsoft Store to install the Spotify desktop app, use the official download page this time.

Hey @sjembk, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

 

That is strange, and since you have tried on both platforms, please check out these steps:

 

  • See if this happens with specific songs or all songs.
  • Disable any VPN/DNS/Ad Blocker service if active, or add Spotify to the exclusions.
  • On both platforms, login with another account and see if the issue persists. This will help us isolate the issue to the account.
  • Share a screen-recording while you try to perform the same action along with your device info (software, and make-model) and Spotify app version.
  • Open Spotify on both platforms and open liked songs at the same time, see if liking on phone updates your PC app in real-time.

So i tried what u told me to do and after some time it seems like it works but with a big time delay and i mean like a few hours maybe.

It happens to all songs. I don't have any VPN or adblocker service. Also i sadly cannot log into another account now because i can't make one, i get an error on the spotify site so maybe ill try later and tell you. Liking them on my phone doesn't update my PC app in real-time.
