Spotify no longer crossfades local files

Crossfade is no longer working for local files on either my PC nor on either of the Android phones I use (Galaxy s5, g7thinq). It seems this was an issue a few months ago that is now supposed to be resolved however that is not the case for me on any of my devices and I believe it is actually a recently emerged issue (within the past couple weeks).

Edit: So, in further experimentation I have found this issue is actually only related to mp3 files I've made with Audacity. If I export from Audacity as a .wav file, Spotify treats them correctly. All my other local mp3 files (from other sources) work fine in Spotify as well. So, I guess problem solved...
