My Question or Issue
Normally I use Latest Episodes on my phone app to keep myself updated on the newest releases for the podcasts I follow, but suddenly that feed is behaving like we're 25 days in the past. For all podcasts it's showing the episode that was new 25 days ago. I noticed this error yesterday when it was giving me episodes from October 7 and today it's showing me episodes from October 8, so it's updating rather than frozen, but with a 25 day lag. What gives? Why is Spotify suddenly living in the past? I have tried logging out, deleting the cache, and reinstalling the app, but the error persists.
Hey @evactadmin, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵
Is this happening only on the mobile app? You can check the web player or the desktop app to confirm.
Can you see the latest episodes in the 'What's New' section? 🙂
Hi Amay, thank you! I just checked and yes, I can confirm that I can see new content using the What's New section on the desktop app. (I actually had no idea there was such a section on the desktop app, so I'm glad to find that out!) The mobile app issue remains the same, however. 😕
Hi, I have the same issue on my Samsung S24, but the delay is only 3 days, but it's bothering.
When I go to the Home screen → Podcasts → Following → Latest Episodes, it only shows episodes that are about 3 days old.
However, when I open a specific podcast’s page, I can see all the latest episodes, including those published today — so the content is available, just not showing up in the "Latest Episodes" section.
I’ve already tried reinstalling the app, as well as logging out and back in, but the issue persists.
I have the same issue, I have a 12 day lag and have done for a few days now, though I've tried reinstalling, logging in and out, clearing the cache etc. I'm on a pixel 10.
When I click on podcasts->following, all the latest episodes are stuck at several weeks old. Last week they were stuck around Oct 14 and now they're at Oct 21 so it's like my date is set backwards.
Ive tried logging out and in on my phone, clearing the cache, but the issue persists.
Both my tablet and computer, which are logged into my Spotify account, have the exact same issue. So all three devices, logged into my Spotify account, have the same issue
Hey folks,
Apologies for the confusion, we've moved your comments out of this thread since you issue differs from the one described there.
We've checked on our end and see that the Latest episodes section is showing ones from 50-60 days ago ordered from oldest to newest, but the newest ones (from today) are nevertheless visible when you scroll to the end of the list.
Can you please confirm it's the same for you or you're only seeing older episodes? If possible, send us a few screenshots of how things look on your end.
Cheers,
Thank you for following up on this issue. I just checked and I can confirm that the newest episodes of my podcasts are showing when I scroll to the very bottom of Latest Episodes. At the top are episodes from October 17, and since today is November 12, that's about 26 days ago.
It's good to know I can access the newest episodes by scrolling down, but I still really look forward to the order getting reversed back to having Newest at the top 🙂
It does look like the latest episodes are showing everything from oldest to newest so I have to scroll all the way down to the end to find the latest episodes

Hi, i can confirm that i see episodes from the oldest to newest (oldest on top of the list), buy only 3 days old... no chance to get the older episodes
Hi, I can’t listen to any new podcasts since this morning.
I just noticed that this issue has been fixed for me! I now see the latest podcasts in the app on my phone at the top without having to scroll down to the end. Thank you!
same here.... it works fine now... new podcast on a top as it was before
