Unable to make a playlist public

Unable to make a playlist public

Hi

 

I am unable to make this playlist public, it used to be but I moved it to secret but would like to make it a public again.

 

I have tried to make it public on my iPhone, iPad, Spotify computer app, and Spotify web app but doesn’t work on any

 

 

Plan: Premium

Country: United Kingdom

Device: iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPad Air 2, and HP Laptop

We tried opening this playlist and it seems to be public and accessible.

Hi

 

When I click on it and go public it doesnt, when looking at my profile it also isn’t there either

 

Every time I right click and then click make public and go back and right click it says make public again, it seems to be a glitch and won’t appear

 

Could you check and see if you see it on my profile, I have put it on the top of my list so should be the first playlist to appear

Just checked your Profile, but unfortunately the playlist isn't shown there. It is most likely still marked as secret on the back-end.

 

We'd recommend you try to Log out Everywhere and log back in. This will force sync your account. After that make the playlist Secret, log out and back in > Make the playlist public.

Hi Alex

 

i have just tried this and it didn’t work, every time I try click make public now, it doesn’t do anything, when I click, the box disappears then when I open the menu it says make public again

 

seems to not let me push it public

Thanks for the reply. 

 

Can you try chaining it to Public when you're connected to a different network like a mobile network on your phone if possible.

Tried on wifi and 4G and it didn’t wokr

 

Tried on 3G and it did work and it’s public, however I have a new option now called “add to profile” when I click this nothing happens and each time I open it, it’s still not working

 

The playlist still isn’t showing on my profile either

Thanks for the reply.

 

We've researched a bit more internally and have been informed that since the new playlist status system is still rolling out it might take longer for statuses to update.

 

Could you try clicking on Add to Profile from another device again and wait 24 hours to see if it updates.

i did this yesterday and waiting 24hrs and it hasn’t appeared in my profile

In this case we'd recommend you reach out to our customer support team via one of the channels mentioned here. Tell them what has happened and they'll be happy to look into this matter, and see why it's not updating. You can also link them to the conversation in this thread.
