My Question or Issue: 

Okay so I have been having this problem for about 4 or 5 days. the first two days were the worst. Basically, i press shuffle on my liked songs, it plays a few songs, but then abruptly stops and will not play anything else until i close the app and reenter it. then it is a cycle, quitting after a song or two. it does not do this for daily mixes or radios, but liked music is kind of the whole reason im on spotify! any help is appreciated:)

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Can you let us know if you've already tried to log out > restart your device > log back in?
It is also a good idea to clear cached files following this steps and check your battery saving features.

We'd recommend giving this a try on a different network as well to see if that issue still persists.

In case it does, it'd be great if you could tell us the exact Spotify version that you use.

Hey Elena!! I have logged out, tried updating the app, deleted and redownloaded the app, but i have not cleared my cache! I have also tried on my wifi and without wifi using data. I have version 8.7.55.382 of Spotify.

Does this occur when you're listening to an external device using Spotify Connect, or when you're listening locally on your phone? Could you try logging in on another device or on the Web Player to see if your liked songs would play without issues there?

 

If possible, you can ask a friend or a relative who uses Spotify to log in to their account on your iPhone so you can check if they'd experience the same behavior. In case you're using a VPN, try temporarily disabling it as well.

Good Morning! It seems to be doing this while connected to any bluetooth device and just on my phone speakers. I have no VPN and while the frequency is less, the problem is still occuring.

Continuing from @Yordan's response, If possible, could you try logging in on another iPhone or on the Web Player to see if your liked songs would play without issues there?

 

You could also ask a friend or a relative who uses Spotify to log in to their account on your iPhone so you can check if they'd experience the same behavior. 

Alternatively, you could also create a free account for testing purposes 🙂
